SPORTS & HIKES

Out & Wild have great spaces at the Festival to enjoy sports & hikes. Our sports zone is led by Lou, Director of Proud Sports. So far we have 5 aside football, softball and cycing agreed.

We also partner with the legendary swim movement the Bluetits to deliver wild swimming sessions and a local provider for stand up paddleboarding.

Our daily hikes are really popular and available for levels.

Cycling

Emily will be leading a number of rides over the festival weekend taking in the wonderful quiet ways and beautiful scenery of the surrounding Pembrokeshire countryside. There will be social rides of different distances to cater for beginner and more experienced cyclists, and nobody will be left behind - so if you fancy giving it a go, make sure you bring your bike (and helmet!) along with you to the festival this year.Emily is a cycle coach and instructor, ride leader and trainee cycle mechanic. Originally from Pembrokeshire, Emily lives and rides in and around South London, coaching kids and adults on and off-road at various venues, including Herne Hill Velodrome. Emily dabbles in various cycling disciplines herself, including road, track and gravel riding, mountain biking, and even a bit of cyclocross racing, and loves encouraging others to get out there and try new things on two wheels. Her ambition is to find a way to tie her experience and passion for sustainability and the environment with her love of cycling by giving people the tools they need to enjoy cycling for sport, for leisure, and as a means of getting around in a better climate future.

Swimming with the Blue Tits

Back by popular demand, we have the international swimming social movement leading our swim sessions at the festival.

We will have over 100 swim sessions available to book from the start of April. There will be a small charge to ensure no drop outs, as these spaces are very popular!

5 aiside footy

We have a 5 aside pitch at Out & Wild and run football games for all abilities.

So whether you are a regular player or inspired by the mighty Lionesses, you can get involved.

Football sessions are run by the team at Pride Sports, with support from Welsh based LGBTQ+ footy teams.

Pride Sports runs the international Football v Homophobia campaign providing year-round opportunities for football clubs, players, fans and administrators to stand up to discrimination in the beautiful game and help make football more welcoming for everyone.

Daily Hikes

Back by popular demand! Susie is our walk lead. She and others will lead daily walks at Out & Wild. This includes trips into the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park.

Since then she has spent over 40 years exploring all five continents and has a taste for deserts as well as mountains.

Stand up Paddleboarding

We work with local partner Outer Reef (we even love their name!) to provide instructor led paddle board sessions at Out & Wild.

For 2024 these will not be free, but you will be able to book from March.
