Essentials for #lesbianglasto
It's time to start getting ready for the BIGGEST event for queer women of the year!
So, we have pulled together a guide of what to bring, whether you are camping, bringing your van, staying in on or off site accommodation.
We will be sending an email with full details of how to get to the site.
Please do check the FAQs as well!
For everyone
If you are planning to take part in the wellness activities you do need your own yoga mat.
Bring a torch, we do have lighting across the site, but essential for the campsite.
You may well want to take notes at selected workshops, so bring a pen and notepad.
Clothes, including swimming outfits for anyone going in the water. *You DON’T need swimwear for forest bathing!
Bring a fully charged portable charger for your phone. We will have a charging point at the shop/info point. Note, phones and other devices left charging across the site will be removed and taken to info point.
Prepare for the weather. Bring layers and warmer clothes for the evening. Bring sunscreen and a waterproof.
We will be contactless on site, but a good idea to bring some cash.
There is no wifi on site (except for traders) but you can get 4G.
For campers and vanners
A tent - and check it out at least a few days before to ensure you have all poles and pegs etc. Don't forger your mallet!
Roll mat to sleep on
Sleeping bag (or duvet!)
Pillow
Towel
Toiletries
Sandals / trainers/wellies (depending on weather)
Folding Camp chair
Earbuds if sensitive to noise
Medications
Hat
Torch
Cooking equipment (remember there are many fabulous food outlets on site). Cooking utensils – keep it simple- knife , fork , spoon
Water - bring a reusable bottle, we have taps across the site. You can also buy a souvenir Out and Wild water bottle onsite.
You are permitted to cook solely within the campsite using either gas camping stoves or disposable BBQs.
Please note:
Wet wipes don’t biodegrade and can’t be recycled –plastic glitter gets into waterways and becomes part of the microplastic problem.
First aid is located on the site.
Flushing toilets and fixed showers available on site. Please be respectful of others and leave them clean and tidy.
While you may bring your own alcohol and food on the campsite and ambient food in the rooms on the onsite accommodation, we do encourage you to support our local bars and traders. We have a variety of outlets and our bars offer a wide selection of drinks for your enjoyment. You cannot bring your own food and drink (apart from water) on to the festival site.
If you want to festival feast package from our onsite partners, you MUST book in advance (see food page).
If you are staying in the onsite accommodation you will get just one key and be required to bring £10 deposit in cash for this. We will be sending pre-book in notes to you in the next 2 weeks.
ALL parking is in a separate car park (except for accessible parking). But there is a drop off point for camping equipment and luggage.
Our lovely volunteers will help you find the right camping/parking area. Please help us by following instructions from the volunteers - they are to help everyone have a fabulous (and safe) weekend.
Please be mindful of your neighbours in regard to noise.
Please clear up all rubbish and recycle what you can. Bins will be provided so please use them for free. Volunteers will be helping with litter collections.
