Overview

Join us for a slow, nourishing weekend set against the stunning, unrivalled backdrop of North Wales — a chance to switch off, move your body, enjoy good food, and spend time with like minded individuals. Expect gentle yoga, gong baths, fresh air, cosy moments, and plenty of space to rest. A real highlight of the retreat is the food. Everything is cooked on site with fresh, natural ingredients and planned by our nutritionist, Vera, to support your gut, energy, and overall wellbeing. Meals are colourful, balanced, mostly vegetarian and gluten‑free, and tailored to your dietary needs. You’ll also have the chance to chat with Vera about general wellness or digestive questions throughout the weekend. Optional extras include a guided nature walk and massage treatments. The sauna tent is available to book separately if you’d like a dedicated sweat‑and‑reset session. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of opportunities to connect over shared meals, time in nature, and quiet moments around the fire. It’s a weekend to breathe, stretch, laugh, unwind, and head home feeling lighter and more grounded. Shared rooms, van spaces and a shepherds hut available to stay in

Vera and Alisha

Vera and Alisha

Vera and Alisha are partners in both life and work, they share a background in nursing and an interest for holistic wellbeing. Vera followed her passion for health early on, retraining as a nutritionist and later a yoga teacher. Her Hatha Flow classes offer fun, light‑hearted sequences that make movement feel joyful and accessible. Over time, her enthusiasm for wellness inspired Alisha to join her on this path. Alisha discovered her own calling through sound, training as a gong practitioner who is now dedicated to create immersive, transformative sound journeys.

Together, they began hosting day retreats across the South East before launching their first full retreats in 2024. For two and a half years, they travelled and lived in their van, embracing a slower, more intentional way of life that deepened their connection to nature and to each other. They now call North Wales home, where the landscape’s wild beauty provides the perfect backdrop for the retreats and experiences they create.

Ailisa Orlik

Ailisa Orlik

My name is Ailsa, and I’m a Welsh outdoor instructor based in North Wales. I’ve spent much of my career working in the outdoors through climbing instruction, mountain walking, scrambling, and other adventure-based activities across Eryri / Snowdonia. After taking time away from instructing to train in carpentry, I found myself drawn back to the mountains and to creating spaces where people can reconnect — both with nature and with themselves. That journey led me to create Siwrnai — the Welsh word for “journey”.

Through Siwrnai, I offer guided outdoor experiences rooted in exploration, curiosity, and reconnection. My work ranges from adventurous days in the mountains and on the water to slower, more reflective practices such as Forest Bathing and nature connection. I’m passionate about creating inclusive and welcoming outdoor spaces, particularly for people who may not always feel represented or comfortable in traditional outdoor settings. Alongside this work, I also founded Queer Hiking North Wales as part of my wider commitment to belonging, community, and access in the outdoors.

I believe outdoor spaces can be powerful places for healing, reflection, adventure, and growth. My approach is about guiding without over-directing — creating opportunities for people to slow down, tune into their surroundings, and experience nature in a more mindful and connected way.

I am a qualified walk leader who lives in North Wales so am very excited to show people the beauty of this space.

We are looking at £250 for vans and shared rooms from £330

You’re welcome to bring alcohol if you wish, though we gently encourage you to skip it for this time, so you can get the most out of the weekend — the practices are designed to support deep rest, nourishment, and a clear mind. Please note that gong baths aren’t advised after drinking. If you do choose to bring something, we ask that it’s not consumed in shared spaces where others chose not to drink. Beyond that, your free time is yours to enjoy however feels right for you.

Yes, you’re welcome to join as many sessions as you like. All activities on the schedule are optional, so you can follow your own pace and choose what feels right for you throughout the retreat. All nourishing, delicious meals are included from start to finish.

Yoga sessions take place in a cozy room with space for twelve people. Because of this, we recommend signing up for at least one class. There will be three yoga sessions across the retreat, and everyone who wishes to join will have the opportunity to do so. We recommend signing up to at least one class, if possible you'll be able to join more than one. Sign‑up happens at the start of the retreat. If the weather is kind, we may move yoga outdoors, which allows more people to join each class.

Although the gong baths are held in the same room as yoga, we only need space to lie down, so there is plenty of room for everyone to take part.

The nature walk is included for anyone who wants to join and it’s completely optional. You can decide on the day whether you’d like to join.

The sauna tent and massage treatments are available during the retreat but are paid for separately.

Well behaved dogs can attend but must not be left in vans or room for long periods of times. There will be a small charge (£15) to bring a dog.

No we do not offer refunds, but you can resell your ticket. Just let us know the name and email of who is buying it and we charge a £15 admin fee to change details.
