For Out & Wild 2025 we have dozens of acts and experiences across the three days and nights.
Our team of curators spend the year making sure we showcase queer female and non-binary experts in their field, from wellness leads to music and comedy acts.
The vast majority of experiences will be free and you can just turn up, some will have a charge/be bookable from April.
We are also just agreeing a one off Pride concert at a site across the road on Thursday 12th June.
We will be updating this page on a regular basis so keep checking back here!
Value and Flow Labs with Bodhi
Bodhi Eira Jones (They/Them) will be curating Value and Flow Labs.
Prep required (see bottom of biog).
An immersive lab to deeply reconnect you to your intrinsic value and flow. Underneath all our conditioning, narratives and oppressive systems we can reconnect to our unique and intrinsic value.
In a KaiFlow curated space we will access flow states, where time is elastic and slows down… As LGBTQ+IA people, itis important that we carve out space, ‘pockets of air’ or ‘immersion bubbles’ for reconnection restoration and to remember who we are. In flow states and carved spaces, we can emerge new worlds of possibility for ourselves.
There is preparation for these labs and limited spaces so please register HERE to receive the preparation work.
If you have questions regarding the prep work or thelabs please email us at – members@kaiflow.com.

Kirtan – Mantra Chanting Meditation
Nourish your soul with a heart-opening Kirtan — a sacred practice of the Bhakti yoga tradition of South Asia, known as the yoga of devotion and the path of the heart. In this session, we’ll sing simple ancient mantras together with music and melody, allowing the sound vibrations to soothe the nervous system, open the heart, and bring us back to ourselves — and each other.
No singing experience is needed — just your presence and willingness to join in.We honour the cultural and spiritual roots of this practice with deep respect and gratitude.
I want to acknowledge that kirtan comes from a sacred Indian spiritual tradition. As someone outside that culture, I know there are real concerns around cultural appropriation. I approach this practice with deep respect, and I’m committed to learning, honoring its roots, and staying open to feedback. My intention is not to take from the tradition, but to engage with it in a humble and reverent way.
Poetry Dive – A Journey Into the Soul
"When you do things from your Soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy."— Rumi
Join Ruth for a powerful Poetry Dive — a full immersion in poetry, music, movement and writing designed to take you on a journey deep into yourself. This is not about writing poems, but about letting poetry speak to you and move through you — liberating feeling, expression and presence. The poems and music are carefully woven together to open new pathways of being, reacquaint us with ourselves, and pierce through the constantly moving mind to land somewhere deeper and more real in the body. You’ll be guided through stillness, movement, sound and silence — creating space to listen inwardly and connect with the soul beneath the surface."An amazing experience and has broken through barriers I've held up for decades!"— Nic, CwmbranNo experience needed. Bring a yoga mat and notebook and pen (if you have one).

Hatha Yoga with Vera Duse
Hi, I am Vera! I am a Nutritional Therapist and a Yoga teacher but before all of this, I was a registered nurse for 7 years!
In February 2020 I qualified as a Nutritional Therapist and started my 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training with Rosie Iles-Jonas (Y O G A | doyouromthing).
In my invaluable experience as a nurse, I had the opportunity to observe how lifestyle, eating habits, the quality of food, movement (or lack of), breathing patterns and self-awareness have an immense impact on someone’s health outcome. Health for me means vitality, being in charge of your body and being able to live your live to its full potential. I have found in nutrition and yoga the tools to revisit in order to go back to that healthy state and help other people do the same.
Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga originated in India more than 5000 years ago and was originally taught as a healing system for the mind and to prepare the body for seated meditation. In Hatha yoga, a series of asanas (poses) are practiced together with breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation.
My classes include a series of postures and gentle stretches connected in a slow flow that guides you into deep relaxation, through fun and light-hearted sequences. Attention is paid to the breath, used as a calming and grounding tool. My classes are suitable for beginners with plenty of options and modifications offered. It’s also appropriate for any other advanced yogini or yogi who wants a calming, relaxing class that will leave you feeling energised and, at the same time, rested.

Qigong and breathwork with Emma Money-Kyrle
Emma is a breathwork facilitator, bodyworkers and Qigong teacher based in South Wales. A lover of the earth, poetry and the mystery.
She has been practicing Qigong for over 18 years, it has been a huge part of her journey of self discovery, gently guiding me in the power of the breath, movement and presence. Her teaching is greatly inspired by the earth energies that surround us, our connection to heaven and earth and all the elements of life.
QIGONG IN THE MORNING DEW
Meet me on the grass for a morning Qi-Gong style stretch. A beautiful way to start the day. We will use an active warm up to open our bodies, release tension, heaviness and stress. Using our breath and easeful body movements we will gradually drop into a natural expanded state, where we can access our own innate health and vitality. Leaving us feeling brighter, lighter, calmer and more connected to all of life.
BREATHWORK JOURNEY
Our Breath is our hidden supper power, by changing the way we breathe, we change the way we think, feel and act.
Come and join me for this morning session, you will be amazed at the releases you can experience with this simple practice.
We will begin with a guided mediation together, followed by an introduction to the process, we will then do some movement to open, shake and wake up the body and our breathing before we begin the breath journey. We will be using a simple breathing technique know as conscious connected breathing, that activates the nervous system and helps create new neural pathways in the brain. When we breathe in this pattern, we begin to enter into an altered state of consciousness which allows us to release stored emotions and trauma in both the physical and energetic body.
If you're looking to release stress and create more space for joy, peace and love then these sessions are for you. It's simple, Smile, Breathe and follow your Heart.

Queer Tango with Helen
Queer TangoChances are, you may only have seen snippets of tango on the telly.. Those hyper-hetero macho-men and skimpily clad women in killer heels are an image eagerly used to promote tango’s supposed steamy sensuality and ‘Latin’ passion… but at it’s core, real Argentine tango is a social dance. Like salsa, folk-dancing or disco, it’s about dancing together, on a night out, with friends, and strangers.
That’s not to say there’s nothing sensual about tango.. multiple unknown partners, in close embrace, improvising/moving to music.. The only way to make this work is to listen to one’s partner, with one’s body, to what the other person’s body is saying. And this is why they say tango is all about connection.
Across the world, tango dancers are challenging traditionally gendered roles. There are queer tango communities & festivals & even in mainstream tango, more dancers are now dancing dual-role, escaping the heteronormative relegation of man-leads-woman-follows.
In our Workshops at Out&Wild (Sun 12pm, Main Marquee) we’ll explore the principles of a tango connection, and then learn some fun & fancy tango moves. We can’t promise to turn you into a tango dancer (that takes a bit longer) but we hope you’ll get a taste of the magic that got us addicted
• No experience or partner required.
• Wear clothes you can move in.
• Please wear socks (or shoes which won’t hurt if you accidentally step on someone’s toes!)
• Bring your own bottle of water.
Main Marquee Sun 12-1.45pm

Part 2: Strike a Pose! Fun moves to impress.

Embodied Yoga and Chanting for Liberation & Social Justice with Amy Bullard
I’m Amy (she/her), a yoga guide & activist based in York and I believe in the magic of yoga as a framework to help us reduce separation within ourselves, between each other and the natural world. Yoga can help us hold differing opinions and find the commonality within them. We are all interconnected and through yoga we can lean into interconnectedness, and soak in the wisdom it brings.
I am committed to healing in service to collective liberation and I do this work through two organisations: The Teapot Collective https://theteapotcollective.co.uk/ and Story of the Changing https://www.storyofthechanging.co.uk/
Charmaine and I run online and in-person yoga classes rooted in our dreams for social justice. I’m a writer, writing weekly on my Substack, Teacups. Teacups is for folks who care deeply about the injustices of the world and may also consider themselves an activist. I love being in nature, being with my friends, my co-conspirers, and being with my lovely partner and our little family of rodents (degus and guinea pigs) up here in York.
Resonate: Chanting in Community
Join Amy to chant mantras together. We’ll resonate, by creating sound together, healing ourselves and each other as we chant. Resonate means producing and filling with a deep reverberating sound (chanting) and it also means to affect or appeal to someone in a personal oremotional way (community).
Amy is an activist and yoga guide based in York dreaming of a liberated world and working toward a reality where all beings are free. This session will be a mix of gentle accessible movement, chanting, discussion and reflection. Please know that everything in this session is an invitation, Amy invites you to take what resonates and leave the rest.
Yoga - An embodied exploration of holding grief and joy in the same breath
You are invited to an embodied and creative exploration centred in yogic wisdom to support you to create space in your being for both grief and joy. During these challenging times with oppression pressing down violently on our communities, together, we learn how we can continue to centre joy as a means of resistance. It is an essential practice that has been central to queer justice movements globally.
This session will be a mix of meditation, gentle accessible movement, energy work, discussion and reflection. Please know that everything in this session is an invitation, Amy invites you to take what resonates and leave the rest.
Yoga - What is collective consciousness and why is it important for our vision for social justice?
What is collective consciousness and why is it important for our vision for social justice?
Join Amy for an embodied and creative exploration of collective consciousness, supporting you to feel into its essence through yoga practices and understand its relevance as people who dream of a socially just world. Fractals: A spiritual response to colonial violence.
talk/discussion
From Palestine to Congo to here in the UK colonisation is rife and as violent as ever. Join Amy, an activist and yoga guide based in York, to hear her reflect on being an activist dreaming of a world where empire is obsolete. She’ll share how she believes that ancient wisdom and spirituality, such as yoga, are some of the missing pieces of the puzzle for us to realise collective liberation - a reality where every being, and planet Earth itself, is free.
Please know that everything in this session is an invitation, Amy invites you to take what resonates and leave the rest.

Music with Suthering
Evocative and distinctive, folk duo Suthering (Julu Irvine & Heg Brignall) transport audiences with their exquisite vocal harmonies and their message of hope during hard times. Described at "Two excellent singers" by BBC Radio's Genevieve Tudor, their harmonies soar above the cascading piano and delicate, fingerstyle guitar. It’s the duo’s beautifully matched voices and their fresh approach to folk which makes their songwriting stand out.
They made their full-length studio album debut with If We Turn Away in 2022, co-produced with Lukas Drinkwater, which was heralded for its distinguished sound and “Hard-hitting, beautiful songs” (Folk Wales Magazine).
2024 marks the release of their second studio album Leave A Light On.
Known for their chemistry and humour on stage, they effortlessly intertwine their important messages about the state of our climate, social conscience, and the importance of community and connecting with nature. They champion female characters, creating new narratives for women and unearthing the female heroines of folk.
Suthering found their duo name in a book called Landmarks by Robert MacFarlane. The word, meaning "the sound of the wind through the trees" comes from a John Clare poem and it perfectly captures the duo’s love of nature, a theme which can be found woven into their music.
They moved from Bristol to Devon in 2019, just before the pandemic hit, in a bid to create a more connected life on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. The wild expanse and history of Dartmoor, influences and inspires their music, which is rooted in the landscape that surrounds them.
Suthering have toured extensively since the release of If We Turn Away, playing at venues and arts centres across the UK and have received recognition and features from the BBC, R&R magazine, FATEA Magazine, Folk Wales, Folk Expo, folking.com and more. They were featured as artists at the EFDSS concert series at Sidmouth Folk Festival in 2022 as well as appearing at many festivals across the country in 2023. They have previously appeared at Costa Del Folk, Priddy Folk Festival, Beardy Folk Festival, Fire in the Mountain, Green Man Festival and many more. In August 2022 the duo took part in the second instalment of the Songs of Separation project called All Sing! on the Isle of Lismore, recording a cappella versions of the original 2015 Songs of Separation album. They have also been selected for the Rural Touring and Applause schemes, taking gigs to rural locations across the country.
Alongside their duo, Julu and Heg they delight in bringing communities together; they run two community choirs (Wheelhouse Folk Choir and The Great Sea Choir) and also run their company Suthering Singing Retreats which offers singing workshops for adults.
In 2022, they made history by setting up the first-ever pride event in their hometown. Tavistock Pride received acknowledgment from national and local press, radio and received an endorsement from Olympic athlete Tom Daley. Tavi Pride continues as an annual event which includes a large parade and festival.
Julu and Heg are passionate about advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and for the rights of women and other marginalised people, through their music and through community engagement.

DJ sets with Papercut Tiger
You may recognise me as I am the founder of GirlFlix - aka Stephanie Young.
As you may have guessed by now, I have my fingers in many pies, and music is a big juicy one! I used to DJ back in the day but when vinyl turned into CDs I lost interest. Starting up GF gave me the opportunity to dust off some records and play my first set at the Cellar Arts Club – and it was fun! I am now in the process of transferring over to digital with a whole variety of styles. I want to be able play all the good tunes I loved growing up that left a mark and became a part of who I am today.
You will find me kicking us off from 7pm on Friday night with a selection of 80/90s soul, R&B, Hip hop, Dance and New York House. This is going to be such an amazing festival and we are all so excited to be a part of it and have the opportunity to share our love for community and music with you… So see you there!!”

Music with Hannah Scott
“Your music moved me to tears.”
This is the refrain contemporary folk artist Hannah Scott regularly hears as she leaves the stage.
The best stories elicit profound personal reactions and in the 15 years she has been writing and performing, Hannah has become a consummate storyteller. Her music is shaped by human stories, with family, in all its chaos and glory, sitting at the heart of her work. Her lyrics are powerful and poignant, and her voice feels strangely familiar, though you can’t quite put your finger on why. Her writing may be deeply personal but her music has a universal appeal that extends beyond the melodies you catch yourself humming days after listening to her songs.
The connection she forges with her audiences often finds its most profound expression in the stories shared by audience members after her performances: the woman whose elderly mother lost a sibling in childhood and is moved to tears by Boy
Born in Suffolk and raised by an artist mother and an eccentric entertainer father, with music going back three generations to her songwriting great-grandmother, creativity was always destined to be an integral part of Hannah’s life. At the age of four, her father bought a second-hand piano for £70 from a friend in the pub and she didn’t look back, falling in love with both playing and listening to classical music. Picking up a guitar in her early teens as the influence of her peers and more contemporary music took hold, Hannah taught herself some simple chords that would lay the foundation for her earliest attempts at songwriting.
Hannah’s career highlights include having her song No Gravity featured on the hit international TV series Grey’s Anatomy, recording a live session on BBC Radio 2 with Dermot O’Leary and opening for Madeleine Peyroux, performing to an audience of two thousand. She has also shared the stage with folk luminaries such as Seth Lakeman, Cara Dillon and Fairport Convention and has performed at festivals including Cambridge, Sidmouth and Manchester Folk. Equally at home in small venues, she thrives on the intimacy of performing in spaces where she can look audience members in the eye, and, of course, speak with them after the show.
“I’m sorry, but also not sorry,” Hannah replies to the audience member moved to tears, so pleased her songs have connected in just the way she hoped they would.
“She reduces women and children to tears - in a good way…” The Guardian
“…and grown men.” Tom Besford, English Folk Expo & Richard Haswell, Liverpool Philharmonic
“This is beautiful.” Dermot O’Leary, BBC Radio 2

You will find her on Saturday night at the bar hub meet and greet from 9.30pm. So don’t be shy, come lose yourself with us…
“I’ve become addicted to these events and the lovely people who always fill them with joy and love. I started mixing and playing with decks and music two years ago inspired by all the awesome DJ’s we are gifted with in and all around Worthing. Since my first GF Party I felt totally welcome and accepted as family. I met the most wonderful people, danced through many nights and shared the love and acceptance that I wish to see more in the world out there. Playing at GirlFlix for you all will be much more than making a “DJ Dream” come true. It’s going to be a celebration of everything we represent as a community that finds strength and unity through diversity and love.”

In this panel, we’ll explore the richness and complexity of modern queer family life.

Their stories reflect the shifting landscape of deep resilience, heartbreak,

DIY Workshop with Jane
Jane (she/her) began her adventure into trades in 2003 when she started out as a tiler. Fairly quickly she took herself off to college to learn plumbing and in the intervening 22 years she has added more skills to her toolbelt and more people working for her.
She now runs a building company in Brighton & Hove which specialises in lofts, extensions, disabled adaptations and full renovations.
Starting out in trades, in a pre-YouTube age was really difficult. Information was hard to come by and advice almost always came with a heavy dose of patronising quips.
I would love to share any advice that I can to help women to gain the confidence they might lack in doing DIY around the house, or even to start up in trades.
The sessions will be aimed at the most common issues I am asked about and the jobs which I know that with a bit more knowledge, the customer could have done for themselves. From damp & ventilation to green ideas and planning permission, with some tricks of the trade thrown in, come along with your questions and I will try to answer them. Tools will be available to handle!

The Out and Wild LoveLab
Nothing is more important in our lives than the quality of our relationships. Research has shown that relationships matter more than genetics when it comes to our health and wellbeing.
However, we get very little education and support on how to create great relationships and great sex lives.
Christina Cass and Dr Claire Macaulay are Sex and Relationship Coaches and life partners who know the place of relational struggle. We’ve been to relational hell and back and made something incredible for ourselves.
We practice a radical approach to couples therapy, which goes deep into understanding the negative patterns in your relationship, restores the power imbalances, heals relational trauma and builds empathy. We bring you into authentic connection with yourselves and each other, and empower you with the skills needed for an entirely new way of relating.
Christina specialises in supporting people who may experience additional blocks to intimacy, such as trauma, neurodiversity and high emotional sensitivity to experience safety, peace and to attract, or keep, the love they want. She is dynamic, engaging, passionate, insightful and is likely to draw on excessive use of fantastical metaphor, display wild hand gestures and draw terrible diagrams to drive a point home!
Claire is a breast cancer oncology doctor with specialist training in Menopause and is a Certified Somatic Sex Educator. She brings her own brand of science-based, no bull-shit, real-world sex education for mid-life women with compassion and humour.
